Welcome to the 2023 Direct Care Worker Conference - Making a Difference Together. 
Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide vital services that allow people with disabilities and older adults to remain in their homes and communities. This DCW conference provides skills training on multiple topics that are relevant to this work with engaging sessions to encourage DCWs for the important and necessary work that they do.

The conference, including meals and an overnight accommodation at the Hershey Lodge on Friday, April 21 is offered at no charge to DCWs. The conference is sponsored by the Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILCP) with grant funds from the PA Department of Labor and Industry.

Conference, Friday, April 21
The conference begins on Friday, April 21, 2023. Registration begins at noon - and sessions begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., based on the sessions that you choose.

Join us for a Friday evening reception, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM that will include a menu of carved meats, appetizers, an array of delicious desserts, a cash bar and entertainment.

Home care is licensed by the PA Department of Health and funding sources, such as PA Medicaid require providers to follow specific regulatory and program requirements. This interactive training session will cover such policy topics as Critical Incident Management, Adult and Older Adult Protective Services, Electronic Visit Verification and Program Fraud, Waste and Abuse.
