Welcome to the 2023 Direct Care Worker Conference - Making a Difference Together. 
Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide vital services that allow people with disabilities and older adults to remain in their homes and communities. This DCW conference provides skills training on multiple topics that are relevant to this work with engaging sessions to encourage DCWs for the important and necessary work that they do.

The conference, including meals and an overnight accommodation at the Hershey Lodge on Friday, April 21 is offered at no charge to DCWs. The conference is sponsored by the Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILCP) with grant funds from the PA Department of Labor and Industry.

Conference, Friday, April 21
The conference begins on Friday, April 21, 2023. Registration begins at noon - and sessions begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., based on the sessions that you choose.

Join us for a Friday evening reception, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM that will include a menu of carved meats, appetizers, an array of delicious desserts, a cash bar and entertainment.

The Self-care Matters training session is interactive and will provide attendees with a foundational understanding of self-care, an understanding of the Six Ways to Take Care of Yourself, and how caregivers can prioritize their own self-care while navigating life's stressors, changes, and transitions.
